Elmensis Bookcase

The Elmensis Bookcase combines two parts, a top with solid woods and a collapsible metal bases, into a simple, flexible, easy-to-store solution that is at once light yet sturdy, practical yet elegant. The creative fitted the tray with a natural oiled oak and natural oiled walnut that holds the thin, solid wood top, which is available with designer’s original brass metal sides or another metal type version.

A single cutout along the top’s edge creates a convenient handle, making it comfortable to carry when serving refreshments or hors d’oeuvres.The top is held together by a narrow piece of solid wood joinery technic into all the top’s center: a classic example of the refined, intelligent design details for which Flumen will be well known.Nature’s forms, good materials and impressive textures are immortalized in striking fashion organic pattern in this piece. The structure is executed in brass metal from inspirational and knewn Niemeyer shape style, providing function to its natural form. The metal base and wood joinery top deepens the piece’s connection with earthy materials.
